She's just a small town girl, living in a lonely world

Ah the sounds of Journey arguably one of the greatest bands of all time. Oh, who am I kidding, they definitely are. And nobody can deny that, nobody. I have this urge to post something, but I also have absolutely nothing to talk about, so here comes a post of rambling , YES!! My FAVORITE kind of post. So, today I cleaned my car , and by cleaned my car I mean I went back to the my days of detailing at Brostrom Kickert Chevrolet . Well, I went all out with the cleaning, the entire inside, outside, topside, bottomside, upside, downside, sideside, othersideside, did I say inside?? Well, you get it. The point is, well I guess there really isn't much of a point. But at any rate my car is no longer dirty. Perfect timing before we go camping this weekend! Well, I took all of the stuff out of it and it filled one of the UWEC carts . Why is everybody talking about Harry Potter ? It's not like there's a new book out or anything. Right? This is becoming the post of links .

Just give me one second!

I feel ok. Not bad, but not great either. However, I feel a heck of a lot better than I had anticipated I would. So, here's my night, from what I remember to what I've been told. I had a few drinks at home, 3 to be exact, while waiting for Tim and Dan to get here. Tim, Dan, Jim, and I left for Brothers at about 10:30pm. We arrived there and I was immediately bought a drink from a guy I'd never met, some baseball player from La Crosse that was supposed to be playing against the Eau Claire Express but it got rained out. Well, I had that drink, and also Jim got me a shot and a malibu and cranberry juice, at least I think that's what it was. So I had two drinks and a shot in front of me, before I even finished one of the drinks they had a couple more shots for me. All told at Brothers I had 3 drinks, a beer, and probably about 10 shots some of which were amazingly disgusting. Also, Jamie and Andy from Copps were there helping celebrate. I got my free mug with the

Fire Alarm

So here's an email that I got today, my response to it, and the hall director's response back, I found it humorous. Subject: Fire alarm testing Hi Everyone- The yearly fire alarm system test will be occurring next Monday July 25th at approximately 1pm. The inspectors will need to key into every apartment to make sure the sound and strobe lights are working. They will be going through every apartment in the building. The company rep has explained that it should just be a couple of seconds in each apartment to do a visual check of the strobe in the kitchen area and to listen for the voice automated part of the alarm. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Or will they be too distracted by the strobe lights to notice?? just curious, thanks! -The Boys of 123 *******************************

Who am I?

It's a question I've been pondering lately. I read the book The Perks of Being a Wallflower recently, actually I read nearly all of it today. I finished it during my accounting class and I must say as depressing and sad as the book was I could relate to it quite well. The last few pages especially. It's the reason I've been pondering that question. I suppose sometimes I care too much about what other people want or think and not just do what I want to, without worrying about how it'll affect someone else. I really need to find the answer to that question... I'd also like to figure out why I can't sleep... Have a nice summer

How do you make God laugh? Make Plans.

That's the joke that inspired the title of Death Cab For Cutie's new album plans . It's so true. All you need is some kind of plan, some kind of expectation and there's no doubt a good portion of the time it'll never work out like you want. Does anything ever really work out exactly how you planned or wanted? I don't think it does anyway. Have a nice summer

Moskau, Moskau!

I never thought it possible, but this just may top Gunther. Check it out! David showed it to me and boy does it get stuck in your head easily. Listen to it a few thousand times and you'll understand. Also, here's a link to the lyrics roughly translated into english. Let the hilarity ensue. Have a nice summer!

Stupid Hippies

I've gotten a lot of comments on my last review of Kyle's blog. I haven't read his new "post" yet because it was long and from what I saw of it he was just ranting about things. Anyway, someday I'll get around to changing that, but for now I think I'll leave it and see if people keep asking what it's referring to. Anyhoo... I'm gonna go now.. have a nice summer!

He's practicing minimalism

This week has been quite fun, I'll post about it later, when the "vacation" is actually complete. That won't be until Monday. However, I didn't like the other template so now I just picked this kinda lame one whilst I work on making my own. Seems like it's gonna be kind of hard, yet maybe it won't be, who knows. Anyhoo, just thought I'd throw a note up here. Oh yeah, Death Cab = Awesome!! Have a nice summer!

A week off, work 3 days, A week off... I like it.

So, I have to work tonight 2-10 then I'll be leaving for my dad's house after work. I'll probably get there around midnight-ish. Then it's off to Door County to camp for the night with the A-town family. Then back to Appleton until Wednesday night or Thursday morning, at which time I'll be heading to Milwaukee to see Death Cab for Cutie at Summerfest. Then Friday it's back here for a party up in Chippewa Falls. Such a busy busy week. Then I start my Accounting class on Monday the 11th. Ugh. I've had an epiphany. Why does Jack's have a hamburger pizza?? It has cheese on it, so it's clearly false advertising. It's a CHEESEburger pizza. What if I were allergic to cheese, that'd be awfully misleading. Have a nice summer!
