RIP Mitch

Image
Mitch Hedberg was found dead in his hotel room yesterday morning. What a sad day. December 27th 2003 David, Mark, and I went to the Rosemont theater in Rosemont, IL. Very near to Chicago. We had tickets to see Lewis Black, Dave Attell, and "Special Guest." I don't think any of us knew who the special guest was, until he was announced. That was probably the coolest part of the trip, not only did we get to see Lewis and Dave, but Mitch Hedberg as special guest. I'm so glad we got to see him. If I remember correctly David and I were going to see him again, but it didn't work out. Now I really wish that would've worked. Anyway, I would like to commemorate this as Mitch Hedberg weekend. I'll put a random Mitch Hedberg joke up as often as I feel like doing. At least one per day. What a terrible loss to the comedy community, you'll be missed.

Spring Break '06

So, I'm back in the EC after accumulating nearly 1100 miles on my car without leaving the midwest. I'm quite proud of that actually. People keep asking if I went anywhere exotic for Spring Break, I tell them I did. The part I don't understand is the reaction I get when I tell them I went to Des Moines. I mean come on, that's pretty exotic. There was even a 400 pound pug named Otis that tried to pummel Zoe. Poor Zoe, she was so scared. So, all in all, my Spring Break was good, from Eau Claire, to Milwaukee, to Appleton, to Wisconsin Rapids, to Des Moines, and all the way back to Eau Claire. Overall, it was good. Now I'd like to look onward toward next year. Here are my thoughts: David and I have discussed possibilities for a Spring Break '06 trip. The first choice was road tripping to Florida. Then it turned into a trip to Hawaii. As I said, here are my thoughts. After watching my room mates video from their trip this past week, I would really like the

Eff You George Carlin

Hope everybody's Spring Break is going well, and if you already had yours, then I hope it went well. Only 3 days left for those of us at UWEC. I pity you all that have to start again on Monday. ;) It's my little sister's birthday today. It seems like only yesterday we were little kids playing in the sandbox behind our house. *tear* So George Carlin was cancelled, how nice is that eh? Oh they were great about it too, at the PAC. They rescheduled it and everything, for SEMPTEMBER 17th!?!?! Like anybody, aside from Curtis, really knows what they're going to be doing in september, I mean honestly, come on. Anyway, I'm gonna go. I'm down in Des Moines. We're gonna go see if Tara can beat me at bowling again! :) Have a nice summer!

The Captain's a Friend of Mine

Now I don't remember what I said... So to prove how tired I was the other night, I have a story. My alarm went off at 9:00am on wednesday, as it was supposed to. I woke up, as I was supposed to, and as I jumped off from my bed I immediatly noticed pain on my right side by my waist. After turning off the screeching alarm that so rudely woke me from my slumber. I looked at my side, there was like a hole, and some other pattern, it was a bit odd. Then, I looked at my bed. I realized that I had been sleeping on my retainer, and it had left quite an impression on me. So yeah, needless to say I was quite tired that night. 2.5 hours of sleep over a 40 hour period is just no good. Go UW-Milwaukee! Have a nice summer!

God!

You are Kip Dynamite and you love technology. Which Napoleon Dynamite character are you? brought to you by Quizilla

T.F.T.T.I.N.T.

You ever have something eating away at you at the most awful time ever? Just confused to the point that you can't sleep, not to mention stressed/worried/anxious about a bunch of other things?? It's a wonderful feeling, really.

I was just randomly clicking the "Next Blog" button in the top right. It brings you to other blogs that have just been updated. Well, as luck would have it, I found someone that I think I can idolize. SaveToby.com is a website run by a brilliant man. Kyle couldn't decide if he wanted to hurt him for his idea or not. I almost want to give him money for being so creative, along with the fact that he's already made $18K. Well, today is time to do a little speech writing action, probably finish half of it I think. Then at 2:00 the usual people are coming over to do our Accounting The only problem with that is that the Big Ten Championship game between Illinois and Wisconsin is on at 2:30. So not only will I be doing accounting during the game, but I have to miss the second half because I have to work at 4:00. Oh woe is me. Something interesting this beautiful morning, I went to bed about 3.5 hours ago. I was up late talking to Timmy and when we both went to b

A bit of nothing

I was gonna write this great post. It was even entitled, "The Best Post Ever!" But then I realized that it sucked. So I deleted it. Now, I'm sitting watching Garden State. Maybe it will have some inspiring effect. Then again, maybe not. David just called me. We had this idea of going to Florida next year for Spring Break. Now, we're thinking about Hawaii, could be awesome. Could be very awesome, especially if the cost isn't too outrageous. So now I sit here pondering what to write. I'd love to update this with all of my thoughts, but those are mine. Don't really feel like doing that. I wish I had a brother named Ditembe. Well, if I come up with something to write about, you'll be the first to know. Have a nice summer!

Stupid Tag-Board

I'm going in search of a new Message Board. The Tag-board website is down way too often for me, it's annoying. Just thought I'd let you know that. I don't really have anything to say today. I found out that I'm going to have another test next week. Fun Fun. So that puts the upcoming schedule at this: Thursday March 10 MIS 240 Exam Tuesday March 15 MIS 240 Chapter 5 Excel Assignment Due CJ202 Demonstration Speech Wednesday March 16 Phil 120 Philosophy Exam And then the first day back from Spring Break I have a midterm in my speech class, how fun! Well, I'm off to do... something. Have a nice summer!

That's like making fun of a handicapped kid

Wow What a great weekend. I haven't drank that much, and still felt this good in the morning, in a long time. It was truly awesome. Origionally, when I was thinking about making this post I was going to recap the events from the weekend. But, I don't know what to say. I could recap Friday night quite easily, along with all day yesterday, but aside from drinking Friday night and bowling yesterday neither were that eventful. But last night, well, frankly it's still a bit of a blur. So maybe I'll recap what I know of last night... After a mind numbing nearly 2 hour conversation on AIM (there may be more on this at a later date) David and I had to take a shot. That was the pregame. Then the lasagna finished cooking, I burnt some garlic bread. Smoke detectors started going off it was so bad. So I baked a new batch of garlic bread, and we ate dinner. Well, shortly after everybody was finished eating, I was standing in the kitchen and David was sitting on the couch in the livi

I Got a Haircut, Yeah Yeah Yeah!

The weekend in Appleton was pretty good. I successfully spent 10 total hours in The 10th Frame on Sunday, and yes, I was drinking for a lot of it. I also bowled a few games, the first three earlier in the day were a 142, 144, and 146. Then, later in the day I bowled a 130 and a 154, all of which are pretty good for me. A 143 average if I'm doing my math correctly. After the Media Play party at the 10th Frame we went to Adam and Angela's, we being Dave, Adam, Angela, and myself. We watched Napoleon Dynamite, and I must say, it was actually better this time, I noticed things I hadn't before, like him drawing a unicorn that looked like it was farting, or had some other horrible problem that I don't even want to get into, ewwwww. There were some other parts that I found more humorous as well. So yeah, maybe it is better the second, or third, time. Then again, maybe it was all the alcohol consumed earlier in the day. I got back here late for class because the weathe
