Somber Nights

Insignificance. Sitting in a 757 staring down on the thousands of lights that make up Minneapolis, that word comes to mind. Yearning. The days I long for can't come soon enough, but once here will never last long enough. Excitement. Though subtle and small it's exciting, the return home is overdue and needed. Exuberance. The feeling can only come from the familiarity of home and one's own bed. Deliriously Happy. Love. Have a nice summer!

She just eye-fucked the shit out of me

Here's the official word on Wedding Crashers as determined by myself, Hilarious! Well, today David and I leave for Washington, we're leaving Eau Claire in about 2 hours and heading for Minneapolis then it's off to the West Coast. I couldn't sleep at all last night, I don't know if it was about the trip or what but I'm gonna be tired tonight. I didn't fall asleep until sometime around 2:30am and I woke up and couldn't get back to sleep at 7am. For a grand total of 4.5 hours of sleep. I was really tired last night, probably from driving, that usually makes me tired. Anyhoo, I'll update when we return from the trip. Until then, I expect you to hold down the fort, don't let anything get out of hand, and no parties, I mean it. Have a nice summer!

Here's your lava flow

So here's a fun story from the other day... I was reading this magazine, it may have been National Geographic, I don't remember. I wasn't reading it, I was paging through it. But I saw this picture and it made me giggle. It was a turtle sitting on a kangaroo's head eating a giraffe. I'll let that sink in for a second..... annnnd good.... Ok so after that it inspired me to turn on the Travel Channel. They had that one woman that goes to all of those exotic locations to show you some cool place that you'll never be able to afford to go. I love that show. Well I turned that on and you'd never believe it, they showed a turtle on a kangaroo's head eating a giraffe. Well, then I went golfing and I hit a ball in the water. I was so mad about hitting the ball in the water that I jumped in after it. Well, I did find it, along with a couple others. When I was getting out of the water I got attacked by geese. Yeese, geese. Then I almost passed out so

Ice Ice Baby, Dun dun dun dundun dun dun

Ask and ye shall receive. Apparently that's true. My previous post asked for someone to work for me so that I could go to Des Moines, and sure enough I just got back from Des Moines this afternoon. I didn't even lose any hours in the deal, it worked out fantabulously. Today at work is what I'm going to call, "The Craziest Night at Copp's Food Center EVER!" Here goes... First off, I got to work and it was really really dark out. Like, we're all going to die due to the ominous clouds, kinda dark out. So we kept randomly going outside to see what the weather was like, mostly because we didn't want to be there and were hoping that the power would go out. Well, the last time we went out there as the storm was going away, Brian, the Manager on Duty tonight, came out behind us to see what we were doing. There was a fire somewhere nearby, most likely from the lightening, and we could hear sirens. Brian made the comment, "I wonder if one of those

This is the Sound of Settling

So here's an interesting fact: Zach Braff is the voice of the Cottonelle Puppy. In other news, will somebody work for me so I can go to Des Moines?? Anybody?? Come on.... Have a nice summer!

We looked like giants

So here's an interesting discovery. Northwest airlines mechanics started a 30-day cooling off period that may end in a strike . For those of you that don't know, David and I are going to Washington on the 18th to go to the wedding of a friend from high school. Well, lucky for us we're flying Northwest. What's even more lucky, or luckier if you will, is that we fly back the 24th, 4 days after the 30-day cooling off period will end. YAY! Though the article does say that Northwest will continue to fly if the strike happens, so we could get home. We just might be on a plane that's missing a wing or something because they didn't have anyone to fix it. Ah well, I've been through worse things. Have a nice summer!

Now I am the Proudest Monkey, You've ever seen... Monkey see, Monkey Do, yeah!

What a great week, last day of class tomorrow, then the final test on Friday. I don't work tomorrow so I'm sure I'll go golfing as long as the weather is nice. I also don't work until 4pm on Friday so I'm going to go golfing with some guys from work, again if the weather is nice. It's turning out to be a wonderful week, hope all is well with everyone. :) Have a nice summer!

Coldstone Update

So, I researched as well as I could. Ok so I just looked at the Coldstone website . But all I could find out was that they use "the highest quality ingredients." Frankly, that doesn't help me at all. So, in conclusion, Coldstone is delicious, and we may never know why. Have a nice summer!

Don't Stop, Believin'!!

Taking another page out of ieatpaint.com here are things people have searched for recently to get to my site: How to build a trellace Wisconsin I don't know, and where on my site is a trellace?? Insomniac Message Board Welcome home. Llandfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrudrobwllllantysiliogogogoch Ah yes, My home away from home. Globe Shingles Ha, don't you know they went out of business? remmus ecin a evah To quote Tara, "Why would anybody search for that??" Signs that you're an insomniac Well, you made it here. But for me it's saying hello to my friend that lives in Europe when it's 9 or 10 am there, making it 3 or 4 am here. Depressed insomniac What can I do to help?? Have a nice summer!

It's good to recycle, right?

I went golfing today, just got back a little bit ago. In case anyone, ie. Mark, hasn't been outside yet today, it's really really hot out. I walked the Front 9 and I was sweating oh so bad. I actually started just refilling my water bottle with the sweat and recycling it. I broke down and got a cart for the Back 9 because I still wanted to play but I didn't want to die of heat exhaustion and dehydration. Apparently recycled sweat doesn't hydrate you very well, who knew?? Well, now I'm back in the Air Conditioning and I'm not moving, nope nope nope. Although, Coldstone does sound delicious, very delicious in fact. Tara and I went there on Sunday night, I'd never been there. It was pretty much the greatest thing ever. Now if only it weren't so expensive. That reminds me, we were going to look to see if we could find how they make their ice cream. It isn't the same consistency of normal ice cream, it's like a mix between normal ice cream

I still have the wherewithal, to perform a cut, of epic proportions

The weekend was awesome, thank you to everyone that came it really was a great time. "Shut up frogs, I'm gonna pee on you!" - Peter, right before he fell in the water. So great, ha. The weekend wasn't overly eventful, I felt kind of bad because there were so many people there that I didn't get a chance to really visit with all of them. Oh well, it was still a lot of fun. One more week left of class, and then I get a good 3-4 weeks off before the fall semester. I really need those weeks off. I can't wait until we head out to Seattle for my friend Sean's wedding. It's gonna be awesome. Dane Cook - "Sometimes you meet somebody, and the second you're introduced you just get that feeling like you hate somebody's guts." I think he was talking about Jack. Well, I don't have much to say, I need to get my mind off things. So until next time. Have a nice summer!
