Halo... good and evil

My roommate Jack is trying to quit smoking, so he went a week without a cigarette, then he bought another pack, and when that's gone he's going to go two weeks without a cigarette until it gets to the point that he doesn't crave them as badly or whatever. Well, I'm thinking of taking the same approach. No, I'm not secretly addicted to cigs, I'm talking about halo. Today, being wednesday, even though it's barely wednesday, I'm not going to play at all. You heard it here first. Not one moment will be spent playing halo. But really, it's terribly addictive, I think it could kill a lesser life form. So that's it, I'm starting with one day, and then I think I'm going to start limiting the amount of time per day spent on it. So anyway, this is a quick post, maybe I'll come up with something life inspiring tomorrow, then again, maybe not. Have a nice summer!

you know...

You know you've been playing too much halo when you lie down to go to sleep and you're twitching and thinking about halo, and playing, and new plans for different maps. Ahhhh! It's crazy. I had dreams about halo, and I've only had Halo 2 for 3 days! So after this weekend, which I expect to be playing quite a bit, I'm gonna have to tone it down a bit, yes, definitely tone it down. Time management, right? Well, anyway, I need to be scurrying off to class now. Have a nice summer!

Odd....

For whatever reason the Tag-board won't load lately, so if you have something on there, I'm not commenting because I can't see it. Anywho... Yesterday I got on the bus to ride back to the apartment, I was the only guy other than the bus driver. It was completely packed with women. I can't say I was complaining. Now to today, I'm currently sitting in the tv lounge. Here's what happened... I came into the lounge the news was on the T.V. Nobody else was in here. Then a couple girls came in and after sitting and chatting for a few minutes amongst themselves, they asked if I minded if they changed the channel. I said, "no" because I wasn't really watching anyway. They turned on CBS, it was the end of The Early Show. I didn't think anything of it. Then girls started pouring into the room not much unlike that of the flood on Halo. Although as far as I could tell they weren't trying to kill me, yet. Then the clock struck 11:00,

Finally...

A lot of finally's this week... I finally got back down to Des Moines to visit Tara. I finally got ahead on my homework and tests. I finally got Halo 2. I finally walked up the hill for the first time in weeks. I finally copied our music for band so we don't have to share one copy between four people. I finally gave up on getting back into my yahoo account. I finally figured out just how much egg nog one person can drink before they get a stomach ache. So, as you can tell this week's been pretty busy. Actually, this week is a breeze, last week was soooooo busy, emphasis on the 'soooooo.' How come sad songs, in some situations, seem almost romantic? How come no matter how many times a few minutes late to the bus stop it always seems to be there? What am I going to do with this free 2 month trial of Xbox Live? Why does my printer make so much noise? Why won't the people down the hall take down their Kerry/Edwards campaign sign?

Let's Recap the last few days...

Saturday spent a few hours working at the Republican headquarters, nothing much to note about that. Free food and soda. One of the tv stations was there, Jamie, our favorite news anchor, she covers all the political stuff, she was there. The group of College Republicans that we had there was the lead in to the story that night about all the work going on at headquarters. So I was on the news. Nothing of note happened sunday, the Packers won, and a streak ended, well, the streak didn't end until Tuesday. More on that. Sunday night was 2.5 hours of chalking lower campus, which I forgot about, so the other CR's were out there putting up messages, such as, Vote Bush/Cheney '04 and things like that for the Senate, Congress, and state assembly candidates. Well, monday morning the Democrats here on campus had defaced nearly all of them. Changing things that said, Vote Bush/Cheney '04, smearing out the '04 and writing "no more." Or the one that shows the
