Another Reason to Hate Speech

Every morning I wake up, fall out of bed, and turn off my screeching alarm. I then flop down in my chair, open the cover of my laptop and check my email in hopes of class being cancelled. Well, today was no different, roll out of bed, off with the alarm at 7:00, and click to the UWEC email site. I had two emails, one from RHAB and the other, the new copy of the student newspaper.

Oh! The massage therapist that was at our stress reliever night last semester just walked by with one of his massage "tools", I could SO go for a massage right now.

Anyway ADD boy, I unfortunately didn't have an email confirming my hopes of a cancelled class, just like every other day. So I got ready, walked in the cold and snow the 35 miles to class, at least it was downhill, and I did in fact have shoes. (It's not the 1920's you know) Well, I got to class, sat down, it was weird because the lights weren't on. Didn't really think anything of it, however. So I sat down, listening to my music on my mp3 player. Then suddenly Bob comes in the room, Bob, the insurance man from Topeka, KS, well, he didn't try to sell me insurance but my reaction to what he had to say was still "Fuck you, Bob." He came in the room and there were about 10 of us in there, all he said was "Damnit why didn't she send that earlier?!?" And from that we all knew our fate. The email canceling class was sent at 7:05. FIVE MINUTES after I checked my email, FIVE! I was so angry, if you have the flu, and you're going to cancel class, you probably know more than 55 minutes before the class starts. I shouldn't really be that mad when put into perspective, there is a guy in our class that drives from Mondovi everyday, I think it's about 30 minutes, maybe more, maybe less. But at any rate he was there, in class, at 7:50. He definitely had a right to be angry, and angry he was.

Now that I have my new mp3 player, I set it to my angry playlist full of Rage Against Dr. Wright, I mean, The Machine, and System of a Down. There are some other things too, let's see, Chronic Future. Adam Sandler's song from the wedding singer, "I'm on my knees, pretty pretty please, KIIIILLLL MEEE!" You know it.

Well folks, it's time for me to go to my class that isn't cancelled, and then I have to head up the stairs and take my Accounting test, we'll see how that goes, 40ish multiple choice questions. I'm out!

Have a nice summer!
