So.. what's new with Ryan you ask??? Well, you've come to the right place. Let's take a gander at Life according to Ryan, shall we?
Jelly Beans, that about wraps up this week. I bought two packages of starburst jelly beans, they're delicious.
I finally got my dad's dvd burner to work for me, without having to buy expensive and pointless software like some other people I know. So now I can.. um.. make backups of my dvd's... not burn copies of dvd's i don't own, or make copies for other people. Because that's illegal... is this blog public?? oh well.
So, I've come to understand that John Kerry says he will "create new jobs" if he's elected. Now, I realize that he has that magical pixy dust, and he's god because he "served" in the military, but honestly jobs are not unlike matter, however they can be destroyed. Another thing I find quite humorous is what I heard on one of his commercials today. He actually wants to REVERSE tax cuts. Ok so he actually said, reverse tax cuts passed by the Bush Administration because they aide the rich people in America. Hmmm... I think there's a bit of something in there he forgot. He didn't say anything about everyone benefitting from those tax cuts, Because everyone in the U.S. who actually works got a tax cut of some sort. Sure people that make more money got more of a tax cut, but aren't taxes prorated in the first place so that if you make more you pay more? John Kerry clearly likes the fact that something like the top 5% of the incomes in the United States pay somewhere around 95% of the taxes that the government gets. So I think that giving people that make more money a bit of a break is ok, especially when everyone gets a break. Say you have $100, if you agree with John Kerry then you think that the government has a better idea of how to spend that money than you do. Personally, I'd rather choose how to spend that $100. One last thing, I don't understand how giving more money to the government is going to help the economy, I mean honestly, this may seem like a bit of an anarchistic view but I'm pretty sure most people democrat or republican would like to be able to spend their own earned money.
So anyway... that's enough out of me for tonight, we'll wait a bit to see if there are anymore John Kerry commercials that I can laugh at. Alright, rant concludes... Have a nice day...
