Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas!!! Especially to all of you Packer fans out there. And my condolences to all of the unfortunate Vikings fans. I called Tara immediately after the game and her sister had a message for me, Tara answered the phone and said, "Kari says shove it." So apparently they weren't as happy about the outcome of the game over in Minnesota as I was. :) Go Panthers, Go Rams!! Can't have those Vikings in the playoffs!! M E R R Y C H R I S T M A S ! ! And always remember to... Have a nice summer!

I have a bone to pick with EA sports and the NFL...

First off, I'll explain what happened, in case you don't already know. Apparently on Monday December 13th EA Sports bought exclusive rights to the NFL. What does this mean you ask? Well, simply put, no other company can use any NFL player's name, likeness, stadium, team, ANYTHING associated with the NFL in a video game. So, why does this make me angry?? Well, I'll tell you. First of all, I bought ESPN 2k5 this year, the biggest competitor to EA Sports' Madden 2005. That line of games will now be gone. Along with any other NFL game there was on any other system or by any other company. So that's what it means for EA's competitors, like Sega and ESPN. What does this all mean for EA Sports? Well, EA Sports no longer has any reason to improve Madden, other than to get people to buy it. They're no longer going to go after the devoted NFL gaming fan, they're going to go after the person who wants the next NFL game no matter what it is, or ho...

meh...

So, I had this great post almost done, it included updates about all kinds of things. But yeah, I apparently hit tab to indent and it didn't like that or something stupid, so it went back to the last page I had been at, and in turn deleted everything that I had written. So now I'm angry with it, and I'm not typing anymore... Have a nice summer

You ever just have something tiny annoy you, even though it's practically nothing? Maybe it comes from lot's of other little annoying things bothering you and suddenly there's just one too many. Who knows. Most of mine pertain to money, or people, or people who bug me about money, and lately, school. Lately I've just been wishing somebody would just hit me and total my car and I could get the insurance money from their insurance, pay my car off, and be done with it all. als;kgbhal;kbh Whatever.. Have a nice summer

Halo... good and evil

My roommate Jack is trying to quit smoking, so he went a week without a cigarette, then he bought another pack, and when that's gone he's going to go two weeks without a cigarette until it gets to the point that he doesn't crave them as badly or whatever. Well, I'm thinking of taking the same approach. No, I'm not secretly addicted to cigs, I'm talking about halo. Today, being wednesday, even though it's barely wednesday, I'm not going to play at all. You heard it here first. Not one moment will be spent playing halo. But really, it's terribly addictive, I think it could kill a lesser life form. So that's it, I'm starting with one day, and then I think I'm going to start limiting the amount of time per day spent on it. So anyway, this is a quick post, maybe I'll come up with something life inspiring tomorrow, then again, maybe not. Have a nice summer!

you know...

You know you've been playing too much halo when you lie down to go to sleep and you're twitching and thinking about halo, and playing, and new plans for different maps. Ahhhh! It's crazy. I had dreams about halo, and I've only had Halo 2 for 3 days! So after this weekend, which I expect to be playing quite a bit, I'm gonna have to tone it down a bit, yes, definitely tone it down. Time management, right? Well, anyway, I need to be scurrying off to class now. Have a nice summer!

Odd....

For whatever reason the Tag-board won't load lately, so if you have something on there, I'm not commenting because I can't see it. Anywho... Yesterday I got on the bus to ride back to the apartment, I was the only guy other than the bus driver. It was completely packed with women. I can't say I was complaining. Now to today, I'm currently sitting in the tv lounge. Here's what happened... I came into the lounge the news was on the T.V. Nobody else was in here. Then a couple girls came in and after sitting and chatting for a few minutes amongst themselves, they asked if I minded if they changed the channel. I said, "no" because I wasn't really watching anyway. They turned on CBS, it was the end of The Early Show. I didn't think anything of it. Then girls started pouring into the room not much unlike that of the flood on Halo. Although as far as I could tell they weren't trying to kill me, yet. Then the clock struck 11:00,...

Finally...

A lot of finally's this week... I finally got back down to Des Moines to visit Tara. I finally got ahead on my homework and tests. I finally got Halo 2. I finally walked up the hill for the first time in weeks. I finally copied our music for band so we don't have to share one copy between four people. I finally gave up on getting back into my yahoo account. I finally figured out just how much egg nog one person can drink before they get a stomach ache. So, as you can tell this week's been pretty busy. Actually, this week is a breeze, last week was soooooo busy, emphasis on the 'soooooo.' How come sad songs, in some situations, seem almost romantic? How come no matter how many times a few minutes late to the bus stop it always seems to be there? What am I going to do with this free 2 month trial of Xbox Live? Why does my printer make so much noise? Why won't the people down the hall take down their Kerry/Edwards campaign sign? ...

Let's Recap the last few days...

Saturday spent a few hours working at the Republican headquarters, nothing much to note about that. Free food and soda. One of the tv stations was there, Jamie, our favorite news anchor, she covers all the political stuff, she was there. The group of College Republicans that we had there was the lead in to the story that night about all the work going on at headquarters. So I was on the news. Nothing of note happened sunday, the Packers won, and a streak ended, well, the streak didn't end until Tuesday. More on that. Sunday night was 2.5 hours of chalking lower campus, which I forgot about, so the other CR's were out there putting up messages, such as, Vote Bush/Cheney '04 and things like that for the Senate, Congress, and state assembly candidates. Well, monday morning the Democrats here on campus had defaced nearly all of them. Changing things that said, Vote Bush/Cheney '04, smearing out the '04 and writing "no more." Or the one that shows the...

You don't go commando in another man's shorts...

Slightly disappointing is this weekend since I somehow came down with Mono. So now I'm not going to Mad-town. Very sad. So I'll mostly just be sitting around EC for the weekend, I'll be volunteering my time for a bit on Saturday at the EC Republican Party Headquarters. I'll also be watching the Packer game on Sunday, as juan would expect. Apparently, as I heard the other day. The Washington Redskins have this streak of correct picks for the president. Over the last 80 years, if they win their last game before the election the Incumbent wins, and if they lose then the other candidate wins. So, if the Redskins beat the Packers this weekend, that could be a bittersweet victory. But I'd gladly trade one Packers win in for not having Kerry as our president, any day. So, I don't really have much to say, just been laying around all week, I have a Spanish test in the morning that I should probably study a bit more for. So for now I'll leave you with th...

Mmm... Tacos...

Think outside the taco shell eh Mark? Not quite sure what that means. So, last weekend Tara, Joe, and me went to see Death Cab For Cutie in Minneapolis at the First Ave Club. It was frickin' awesome. I just keep listening to their music over and over now. If you'd like to hear some let me know, I'll send you some. Tomorrow is my grandpa's surprise 80th birthday part, so I'll be going to Rapids for the night. I was looking forward to going back, first of all for food, and second of all for my bed. Well, as my Dad informed me the other day, I guess we're having some guests stay at our house. So Ryan's uber comfy queen sized bed, not gonna be slept in by Ryan apparently. I don't even know who's going to be sleeping at our house, but whoever it ends up being that makes me sleep on the couch, I'm not going to be nice to them. Even if they're close relatives, I don't feel the obligation when they take something like a good ni...

Ba dup boot...

What to write about. Hmm. So many possibilities, I'll just start rambling, after all that is the name of the blog isn't it? So, Tara's coming on Thursday night. :) She'll be here for the weekend, and Joe, Tara, and I are going to a Death Cab For Cutie concert on Saturday night in Minneapolis. That will be fun. Tonight I'm going to play softball at 7, hopefully I won't hurt myself again. Earlier today, I was laying on my bed talking to Tara, after I hung up the phone, a few minutes before 2, I fell asleep for about 15 minutes. I woke up and went, whoa, I should set an alarm if I'm gonna nap. So I didn't. And I woke up at 2:49, 11 minutes before my chem lab started in a building on the other end of campus on the fourth floor. I made it, only 1 minute late, no idea how. That was my brilliant maneuver for the day. I'm sure something will happen with softball that I could write about later. And if not, then you won't see anything, ha! sim...

icky...

I got pooped on by a kitten yesterday. Have a nice summer!

Brilliant...

Let's take a step back into the history books of my life. Kevin was my friend who lived around the corner, I could get to his house by trudging through people's backyards. Which old people love by the way. Kevin and I were friends from the time we moved there when I was 3 yrs. old, until we moved away when I was 7yrs. old. We did a lot of mischievous things together. I wanted a sandbox and he had one, so we loaded up the Tycho (I believe that was the brand) dump truck and brought one load at a time from his sandbox to the small concrete slab inadvertently put in the middle of our backyard. Now, the most famous of all of our adventures came a bit later. I'd say we were 5yrs. old. We desperately wanted to make ice cubes, I still do this day have no idea why we wanted to do it. But the important thing for history is that we did. We proved something that day, the thinking of 5 yr. olds is humorous, but usually not too incredibly rational. It was, let's say July...

who knows...

(This is from Wednesday during my break betwixt classes) Even the professor's seem to have cliques. What the hell... Why does it matter? Why does it bother me so much? Why do I have to be so damn insecure about things sometimes? Why can't I just be a "normal" college student? What IS a normal college student? Why do I do the things I do sometimes? Why do I make the decisions I do? There are so many questions, so many unknowns that are just thrown up in the air. When will I get some answers!?!?!?! There's a guy sitting in the chair across from me, he is totally oblivious to the fact that I'm torn inside. Not that he matters. I've never understood why I have this drive to be like everybody else. I have trouble being my own person, I'm far too self-conscious. I could never go out wearing sandals and tall socks with shorts for instance. I don't know how people that actually face problems deal with it. Put almost anybody in my ...

Blast...

Some may think it's an obsession, maybe it is. But Football is definitely my favorite pastime. I look forward to the draft, I pay attention, not nearly enough though, to the college prospects. I constantly watch to see who the Packers pick up next, through training camps and the preseason I try to predict who's going to make the cut and root for the underdog so to speak, people such as B.J. Sander the rookie punter for the Packers who had a terrible preseason. I don't know, I get angry when they lose and I'm overjoyed when they win. Some may say I get too involved, or too "into it", but I think people should have some kind of a religion, and football's on on Sundays, so I'm trying. :) (thank you Lewis black) Well, they're 1-3 since they lost again today, I was quite bitter at work, some people just don't understand. I have plenty of studying to do now, I keep zoning out and if you were here right now you would be able to tell that I'...

hehehe

so this is funny, I just was reading something from the democratic party about them officially listing kerry as the winner of the debate today. Then I read this, "Take Action We all know what happened in 2000. Al Gore won the first debate on the issues, but Republicans stole the post-debate spin. We not going to let that happen again -- but we need your help." We not going to eh? How nice... I didn't change it either, Check it out. Vote Bush/Cheney '04 and Have a nice summer!

Bah

Just to prove you wrong. The debate was interesting, only got to see the second half of it. But oh well, I'm sure it'll be on again. I'm waiting for something to inspire me to write a good post... so far... nothing. I'm sure I'll be back with more someday. But for now... look through the old one's listen to the old audio posts if you're bored. Have a nice summer!
