Another Reason to Hate Speech

Every morning I wake up, fall out of bed, and turn off my screeching alarm. I then flop down in my chair, open the cover of my laptop and check my email in hopes of class being cancelled. Well, today was no different, roll out of bed, off with the alarm at 7:00, and click to the UWEC email site. I had two emails, one from RHAB and the other, the new copy of the student newspaper. Oh! The massage therapist that was at our stress reliever night last semester just walked by with one of his massage "tools", I could SO go for a massage right now. Anyway ADD boy, I unfortunately didn't have an email confirming my hopes of a cancelled class, just like every other day. So I got ready, walked in the cold and snow the 35 miles to class, at least it was downhill, and I did in fact have shoes. (It's not the 1920's you know) Well, I got to class, sat down, it was weird because the lights weren't on. Didn't really think anything of it, however. So I sat down, lis...

Mmm Pizza

As I'm sitting here contemplating what I think about Abortion, all I can think is, Pizza. I want some pizza. Our homework for Philosophy today was to read these two powerpoints, one supporting and one condeming abortion. After reading through both of them, I realized, I have no solid opinion on this matter. I really think that people should have a choice but, and this is very hypothetical, if I were a woman right now in my life, or even in high school, and I got pregnant, I don't think I could go through with it. I think the same goes for if someone that I were sleeping with were to get pregnant, it's just something I don't think I'd want done. So yeah, my brain was thinking, thinking, thinking, and all that came out was, Pizza! So I made one. I have a dinner going in the slow cooker right now, it's gonna be SO GOOD! (said in a teen girl squadesk voice, of course). I started it at noon, and it says to cook it on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 3-4, so ...

Happy Valentine's Day!

Image
Here's my theory on never working out again. Not much of a theory, but I can prove that Fat is better than Fit, see for yourself. And also, to go along with Kyle's theories on Valentine's Day. I submit this as proof that he is in fact correct with his thoughts. I ate a mexican pizza a while ago, crap, crap I tell you, it was crap. It had crappy tomatoes, crappy green onions, crappy spices, crappy sausage, crappy cheese, crappy sauce, and crappy green crap that was like lettuce or something. All in all, I wouldn't suggest buying one. So anyway, just thought I'd give a quick update. And leave you all with a little gift. Have a nice summer!

Fun stuff...

So, someone at work needed to switch schedules with me, no big deal, so now I don't work tomorrow night and work Friday during the day instead. Sweet. Now, I get to watch The OC tomorrow night. We're having a gathering, I'd call it a party, but I think you need enough people around to call it a party. I'm also making brownies, and maybe I'll get some ice cream. Mmm, sounds delicious. I was just eating dinner a little bit ago, and I happened to come upon the campus tv channel. The Wedding Planner was on, I watched it for about an hour. So yeah, The OC, baking, and The Wedding Planner, odd indeed. I'm gonna go do some homework now. Have a nice summer!

Sweetness...

Jimmy Eat World is doing their top ten favorite video's on fuse right now, #2 was Death Cab For Cutie - The Sound of Settling. How awesome is that? I'll tell you, totally awesome!! Ok, so now that I got that out of the way, unfortunate news. As much as I wanted it to happen the Eagles and Patriots didn't tie, and they didn't both lose. Damn rules. I decided at the start of the game, that as bad as it was to have the Patriots win 3 of the last 4 Super Bowls, it'd be even worse for the Eagles to win. So yeah, unfortunately I felt obligated to root for the dynasty. I have a little football theory here. I think that the Eagles are going to be the thorn in the side of the Packers that the Cowboys were in the 90's. I just get that feeling, we can't seem to beat them in Philly. Sweetness, now they're showing all of Jimmy Eat World's video's. I might have to stay up all night, good thing I don't have class until 3:00, ha! I love...

Thank You Super Bowl...

So, the halftime show was a big success. Dave and I were both ready with our spoons, in case it was that bad. As Lewis Black says, describing the Super Bowl halftime show from a few years ago, we have 'nsync, Aerosmith, and Britney Spears, we have a trifecta from hell, But I was lucky, 'cause I had a spoon. And I shoved it up my ass. Why, you might ask? To distract myself from the pain. Given that, Dave and I were ready. As it turns out, someone made a good halftime show. I credit the great Paul McCartney, and whoever put together the show. The fireworks were great as was the camera work and light display. All in all, it defied all laws that apply to Super Bowl halftime shows. It was also nice to see fellow saxophonist and Appleton West Alumnus Jim Pluess singing at the beginning of the game. Apparently he's going to West Point now, and had some kind of a story in The Post Crescent back in Appleton. Anyway, Back to the rest of the game, second half is just...

Well then...

Sitting here listening to a little Death Cab. Rather relaxing, a bit too much maybe. I have plenty of homework to do, decided not to go to the B.U.S. meeting tonight, found out a little more information about the organization, like that you have to pay to be a member. Things like that just don't appeal to me. I downloaded Napoleon Dynamite yesterday, I watched some of it again, I still don't get it. I mean, I understand the movie, I just don't understand some people's overwhelming fascination with it. There was somebody at the RHAB meeting monday night that talked about how they had watched it like 5 or 6 times over the weekend. I wanted to watch it again, just to see if maybe I was missing something, apparently not. I still didn't really like it much. There are funny parts, but it just didn't come across as that great. So, now I should really get to that homework, gotta watch the State of the Union Address tonight, it's on at 8:00 Central time,...

Applied Ethics... or friends...

So, I was told by a certain drunk person tonight that I need some more friends. She's right. If my room mates aren't around and I don't work I don't do much of anything around here. It's sad really actually. I'm just one of those people that can't handle being alone all the time, it bugs me after a while. But ah well, it'll be fine. Gives me more time to focus on my academic goals. So yeah, I'm gonna go back to reading about Utilitarianism in my Applied Ethics book for my Philosophy class. Argh. Have a nice summer!

Whoa!

I'm a frickin' genius!! I am! Don't deny it. Alright, here it is, the idea that will make me rich and famous. I'm going to share it if you promise not to steal it. OK? PROMISE!?! Alright, here goes. It's an idea for a new reality show. I know what you're thinking, how cliche, but it gets better. We take, real-life actors and actresses, and we put them into real-life situations where they have to live like normal people! I know, it's crazy, but it just might work. Let me know what you think, Have a nice summer!

Ethics..

So, I have my Philosophy class today. Philosophy 120: Moral Problems in Contemporary Life. If everyday goes like the first we're just going to "discuss," meaning argue, about controversial subjects. Sounds like fun to me, just what I'll need to break up the monotony. The only question I have, how does one take a test on things that we're going to discuss in this class? He didn't cover that today. Here's my assumption, let me know if you have a better idea. Since he told us we're going to argue a lot in the class, I think our test will be essays. In these essays we'll probably have to argue a side of a topic or something like that. At least, that's what I'm hoping for right now. We'll see. Anyway, Hard to have much of an update from my first class, so I'm gonna go. Have a nice summer!

so true.. so true..

How evil are you ?

Big gulp's eh?

I'm stuck in a world of randomness. I'll try to describe it. It's like being in a world where an intertwined Mitch Hedberg and George Carlin stand-up comedy performance is playing, with all of the randomness that would entail. While this is playing, you're dancing around with Teletubbies and Frank the rabbit from Donnie Darko. Sticking with the DD theme, let's have some subtle Gary Jules' Mad World playing quietly in the background. Three black spirits keep shooting by, you see them, but never get a good look at them, either moving too fast for you to see, or too far away to make out any details. The concept of snow on an overpass surrounded by nothing but air is inexplicably confusing. Apparently omelettes can be square. Unnamed CD's make for good listening, they're like a "insert Forest Gump quote here." When people share their music it is exciting, when all of their music is Christian bands except for the Slipknot CD, it's j...

Mr. Booyakasha Spoon!

ahhhh

At the end of Anchorman with the commentary on, Christina Applegate says, "Booyakasha." I know, I know, I couldn't believe it either, listen to it, it's right before the credits start with the commentary on. Anybody that doesn't understand why I find that so crazy doesn't have me on MSN messenger. Since the Fall of '03 pretty consistently I had Booyakasha as the start of my MSN names, because of a picture of a spoon I have, which I will post. This just boggles my mind. Well, time for bed. You stay classy Saint Diego. Have a nice summer!

who knew...

So, I finally finished cleaning the apartment, after having my crap laying all over, I decided to actually clean. I must admit, it doesn't look half bad, actually, it doesn't even look a quarter bad. It's good to be back and have the internet again, not to mention my very nice connection speed. I saw somebody I knew today, and it wasn't someone that I work with either. I was quite excited. It was Jim, he's friends with my roommates, he lives upstairs. That was while I was taking out the garbage, and boy was that disgusting. First of all, apparently if you leave a head of lettuce in the drawer in the fridge for an undisclosed amount of time, somewhere around 3-4 months, it turns into a small, smelly, squishy, dripping, brown, disgusting mess. So yeah, that was a good find for the day. Beyond that nothing seemed to smelly, the recycling bin reaked of stale beer, but even that wasn't that bad. I managed to get all of my clothes and Christmas pr...

Working Wirelessly...

So, I have the router up and running, halo seems to lag a bit, but anyhoo... That was enough to keep my interest for a little while. The decision to stay here in Eau Claire and work for the rest of break, so far, doesn't seem like it was the best one, (for redundancy's sake I'll add another) so far. It's very quiet, even with tv/music on. Apparently some of the room mates were here last weekend, left pizza boxes and things out, that'll give me something to do, for aboot 2 minutes. By the time I have to work tomorrow I'll more than likely have everything put away. I don't know what I'm gonna do with myself, and all this free time. I can't really afford to go out and do things, because things cost money, and I don't have anybody to do things with. Oh well. I'm gonna go try to sleep now. Have a nice summer...

Fun...

Playoff Bound...

I thought we already swept the Vikings!?! Oh well, just have to beat them for a third time. I almost got tickets. If the game was going to be on Saturday afternoon, then I would've been able to go. Instead it's Sunday afternoon and my step-mom is going. Here's why... My Dad and Step-mom were planning on leaving for Florida on Friday, but since the Packers won the division and they have season tickets, including playoffs, they decided to change the dates of their vacation/business trip. So, they're leaving Sunday from the game in Green Bay. Now, if the game had been Saturday, my Step-mom would've let me go because they would still leave Sunday, but it would be from here instead of GB. SO yeah.. a bit confusing but all in all it sucks. Sorry Dave, I tried. Anyway, I have to get up for work early, and it's not early now. Let me know what you think of the new layout, I felt like messing with it. Have a nice summer!

Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year Everybody! Cheers to a new year! Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We had an awesome party at Adam and Angela's, it was fantabulous. Mark was puking by 10:30. HAHA, so funny. But that actually worked out good because he took David home later on, and then I didn't have to get up early. Plenty of alcohol, all I remember about my conversation at midnight with Tara is that Angela talked to her. So yeah, I had more than enough to drink. I felt great this morning though, so that was good. Such a boring day. Very very very boring... I watched my full system scan of norton antivirus run, along with adaware and I defraged my hard drive. Just for something to do. Well, I'll have the internet back tomorrow night, instead of this dial-up crap that they try to pawn off as internet here in a-town. Hope everyone's break is going good! Have a nice summer!

Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas!!! Especially to all of you Packer fans out there. And my condolences to all of the unfortunate Vikings fans. I called Tara immediately after the game and her sister had a message for me, Tara answered the phone and said, "Kari says shove it." So apparently they weren't as happy about the outcome of the game over in Minnesota as I was. :) Go Panthers, Go Rams!! Can't have those Vikings in the playoffs!! M E R R Y C H R I S T M A S ! ! And always remember to... Have a nice summer!
