I think this site deserves reincarnation. Inspired tonight by klsnow I'll look into it. I have no idea what purpose this may serve, or what usefulness anybody could possibly get out of it at this point, but what the heck. It never really had a purpose in the first place.

Tag-Board

I believe Tag-Board.com was eaten by something this week. So, I took it down, hopefully just for now. Stupid hackers...

I'm buying a mac

Yep, you heard me right, I'm gonna buy a mac. That is all. Have a nice summer!

Almost that time again...

Summer's flying by, my eight week summer classes are nearing an end as August comes into view. If I only had more time to do... well, anything. Weeknights have become the longest days I have had to deal with in some time. Work from 8-5 then anything from multiple quizes and homework to tossing tests in there as well. This greets me everyday when I get home from work. Balance all of this plus a sad attempt at a social life and spending time with my girlfriend and it's enough to make you crazy. The only bit of a social life I get is either at work or the occasional game of Halo 2. Which is played against the most socially inept people on the planet. Anyway, thought I'd give you an update of my summer quick. Oh look, time to go to work again. At least I get free breakfast. Hooray for breakfast meetings! Have a nice summer! (Seriously, let me know about it, I can live vicariously through you.)

Cleanliness

That's the word of the night. I'm trying. I think I can keep this up for my room for a while now. It's awful nice having a nice clean room, I must say. Not to mention a nice clean apartment overall. Diaz and I spent about an hour and a half or so this afternoon cleaning up what should've been done a long time ago. Not only do our other room mates not bother to clean, but they went out of their way to walk on the floor that was still wet from mopping as many times as they could with their shoes on. Very kind of them. Ingalls was up this weekend, partied it up Friday night, though I only stuck around until about 11. Saturday we watched endless hours of draft coverage on ESPN. It was fabulous. Had a few beers, went to El Patio for dinner, had a massive margarita. Then I went to Tara's and we hung out and had a little wine. All in all a really great weekend. I hope you all are doing well as we near the end of the semester. I can't wait for summer, I...

Is there anything Full Throttle can't do??

Full Throttle, yes, the energy drink. At times, it's the nearly instant pick-me-up that I crave for. Other times, it gives me the energy and motor skills of a two-year-old. So I wrote this letter to the editor of our school paper on Monday. Well, apparently my not so dear Democrat friend that I wrote about thought I was making a personal attack on his character. Apparently saying "I'm not personally attacking you Jacob..." means that I am personally attacking him. I just don't understand the language some of the Democrats around here speak. In other news... United Council = The Devil. This is something we need to get rid of, BADLY. Our University alone gives them around $40,000 per year, have you even heard of them? They're supposed to lobby for us, as students, at the state level. The only thing they seem to do is whatever the Board of Regents tells them to. Which is a message they're relaying from our wonderful Governor Jim Doyle. Another thi...

Rainbow Retainer

It's amazing what a trip home spent balancing your mom's checkbook will do to your ambition. Allow me to explain. Somehow in helping my mom use Quicken to track her expenses and income for both her personal checking and her business I realized all the stupid things that I do that make my life harder. I'm sure the things that I do are quite typical of the average person but they're kind of hypocritical. I try to give people advice or talk about how it will be in the future as far as my finances go, but then I go and buy something stupid. Or put so much money toward my credit card bill that I can't pay my other bills. I just flat out don't keep track of my money very well at all. And I have a lot of trouble living within my means. Well, not so much anymore, it's gotten a lot better. But it's still not great. Now, back to the beginning of this post. I'm feeling a whole lot better about things, I'm more enlightened. I saw how my mom lives...

Mmmmm Koala...

I love this picture. I have no problem with vegans or vegetarians, but when they try to make you feel like you suck because you don't live by their ideals, then they bug me. So, this picture is for everyone out there that looks down upon other people because they don't think like them. Have a nice summer!

Bounce, Bounce

Upon further investigation, i.e. looking at it closer, I've found that the reason it says Canada is because they are made in Canada. Most pointless post ever, Done and Done. Thank you Porkfat. Have a nice summer!

Worst feeling ever.

So I'm here today to talk about one of the most helpless feelings you'll ever have. Here's the scenario, you're sound asleep in the middle of the night. It's pitch black in your room and you wake up for a second to shift how you are laying. Then, it happens. Your pillow falls off the head of your bed and you lie there for at least a minute thinking, "great, what the hell am I gonna do now, I don't have a pillow." Granted, you feel much better after you realize where your pillow went, but for those few seconds, you just feel helpless, lost, alone, scared, and you want your mommy. Now, this feeling can be devastatingly worse if you have a lofted bed that is more than 3 feet off the ground. As I found out my freshman year when my bed was lofted about 5 feet off the ground. My room mate was telling me the next day that he saw me straining to reach my fallen pillow from my bed. He found the sight all too funny, especially since I could only reach a...

To quote David's away message, "Global warming, my ass!"

So I don't know if anyone has looked into the weather lately, but I'm confused. Why did winter take so long to get here, and why does it seem to have skipped Eau Claire? Well, the snow did anyway. We only got about 2 inches, whereas places like Appleton got a ton. As described by Curtis when asked how much snow they got, "not sure...it's all in drifts, no snow here....20 feet over there." But this, though it may seem so, is not the theme of my rant. My rant involves one, weather.com, and their neverending negative crappy news that I don't want to read. They're like the New York Times of weather. Let's just run through the temps for this weekend shall we? Here we go: Let's start with the present and go through the rest of the weekend. Right now: 10F Feels like -3F Friday 6am: 3F Feels like -16F Friday noon: 4F Feels like -17F Friday 6pm: 3F Feels like -12F Friday midnight: -3F Feels like -17F Saturday 6am: ...

My new favorite hippie bash... From a commercial for Vault energy drink during the Superbowl

Last of a dying breed...

Today marks my last day at Copps Food Center, and, assuming the rest of my life goes according to plan, my last day ever working in a grocery store. No more acting like you're happy to see the customer who's about to ask you for something you've never heard of. No more breaking things then trying to blame it on a customer so that the 3' tall 60 year old sanitation lady with grey hair that's dyed black but you can see the grey every other week between dye jobs will clean it up. No more "Where do you work?" - someone, "Copps" - Me (with my head hung low) No more hitting people in the face with large balls of plastic wrap, well I might continue this, but it won't happen as often. No more 6 pack of corn dogs, or fresh deli chicken, or hot dogs spinning all day, or dry chicken tenders on breaks. No more weekly paychecks. No more waiting for them to hire the next cute girl at the bank, only to find out that they hired a guy, why do they do that!?! ...

Throw your cares away, save them for another day

Cleaning cleaning cleaning, that's what today was all about. I cleaned my room, and I cleaned most of the rest of the apartment. I brought a lot of stuff back with me to the EC from my numerous holiday destinations. From presents to winter clothes I had more than my tiny room can handle. But I went out and bought a new shelf/organizer type thing for the closet. This made me a bit angry, but worked out in the end. Here's the story: So, I went to Target, even though it's just as far away as Wal-Mart I refuse to go to Wal-Mart, as Bobby Boucher's momma would say, it's the devil. Well, once in Target I found this shelf very quickly and being the smart person I am I had measured my closet to make sure that whatever I got for it would fit inside my closet. So, I looked at the shelf, and it was perfect 47 1/2" long, my closet was nearly 48" but over 47 3/4" so I felt quite confident that it would fit. I picked up a new laundry sorter/basket thing and headed ...

Here we go...

Well, it's here, Finals! The end of the semester, time to fling ourselves into the Christmas scene. My first final is in 48 minutes, followed by two on tuesday, and one on Wednesday, at that point I head home to A-town. The extended stay in Appleton, well 5 days, could be quite fun, I haven't been there for more than a weekend in quite some time. I'd really like to get together with some friends that I can never seem to get to see while I'm home. Anyhoo, I wish everybody luck on their finals. Congrats to Timmy and Dan on their graduation! Well, I'm off, I've got to go clip my fingernails, I swear they're like 3/4 of an inch long. They look nice... if I were female and going to paint them. I always like it when they're long and I go to work and open a box and it bends my fingernail back, wonderful feeling. Well, like I said, good luck everyone! We're the renegades of funk! Have a nice summer!

YAARRRRGGG

The end of fall semester, the worst time of the year. It's so cold out, it's almost Christmas, and I have too much shit to do. MIS will be the death of me. If you happen to see me tomorrow and I'm smashing in your windshield with a baseball bat, don't take offense. It's just that you probably had a monkey of some sort in or on your car and it reminded me of Bruce Lo my MIS 310 professor. Which, at this point would cause me to go completely insane and do irrational things. Ironically, or not so ironically, when stress couples with other feelings and that compiles with anger it isn't a pleasant thing. Work blows right now, I so desperately need to be off work tomorrow. I'd just call in sick but A) They'd know I wasn't sick because I was asking people to work for me and B) If I get one more "occurance" as they call them at Copp's I'll be off for more than just tomorrow. Not fired, just suspended for at least one day. I need more time.....

Where'd all this come from??

It's official!!! I need to put my scraper back in my car. Also to note, breaking out the winter coat wouldn't be a bad move either. I just hope some of this snow starts to stick. It's all melting so far, except for the stuff on the cars, which is reassuring. I've rediscovered this blog thing, crazy stuff. I might even start updating it. hahahaha.... no really, I might. Andyway, my nose won't stop running, I keep coughing, and sneezing and it's driving me crrrrrrrrrrazy. But I digress, winter is here it's time to cheer! Have a nice summer!

Morons

I pity Bears Fans: First off, this guy was talking crap on a Green Bay Packers message board. Secondly, he was talking up the Bears huge win over the 2-7 49ers. I felt the need to intervene. Here's what was said, first by the Bears Fan, then my Response: "we have a big reason to it was windy and they had 8 guys in the box and we rushed for 170 yards and just about 70 passing. and there rushing def is not bad.they had the line stacked for the run and we killed them and they could not score 2 times at the 1 yard line and we had a 108 yard return an nfl first in that game and we took 1st in def yards we have 1st in td givin up rank in the top 10 for take away 1st in def redzone % r off has the best o-line in the nfl to make holes for r running game that big in a game where we could not throw do to winds of 40mph we rank 5th in rushing we rank low in passing but what can i say it sucks but is getting alot better.are rookie qb is making some mistakes but not as many as your qb h...

Wowza... It's been a while...

Don't panic, it's ok, I'm still alive. There, now we got that out of the way. I've had an epiphany, and it's somewhat blog related. The more bored I am, and the less I have going on in my life the more I post. And inversely the more I have going on the less I post. So I'll give you a guess as to how much I've had going on. If it were able to be quantified it'd be higher than recent powerball jackpots. I had intentions of going to Madison for Halloween, but now all I read are articles from people telling me not to go. Now, I've already made other plans and I'm not going, but these articles make me want to go even more. It's like saying, "don't drink and drive." It's like a challenge. One of the hardest things ever to do that ends up being incredibly easy after you do it. You'd never guess it. Snaps, the little white things that you throw at the ground that make a snapping noise. Well, anyway try snapping one ...

What's the phrase that pays that plays for days?? WROX THE STUUUUURGE!

I don't think WROX are the right letters, but meh, I don't really care. If you know what it's from you'll say it in your head, or out loud, and if you don't, don't worry about it. I read this in an article on nfl.com this morning, found it rather humorous. Media note: Injury-riddled secondaries must be referred to as "banged up" while injury-riddled offensive lines become "patchwork." It's just like in baseball, in which right-handed pitchers are "veteran" and left-handers are "crafty." Here endeth the lesson. So, anyhoo, hope everyone is doing well with themselves. I've given up on trying to update this regularly. First of all there isn't enough terribly interesting stuff going on, and that gets boring for me and you. The only thing I have is this. Tara's coming this weekend! :) And she might get a job here. We'll see how that goes. I'll try to keep ya posted. She comes Thursday, I work Fri...
